Love this Curt.
You have some powerful quotes!
Great post.
1. When I lived in Louisiana I had a dream. I ran out of a door because I heard a loud noise like a train roaring or a tornado louder. I yelled to my mother who was running toward the water at the end of the beach, “What is happening???” She yelled back with great joy and excitement in her voice, “Jesus is coming, I’m going to meet him.” I look out over the waves past the beach and saw among a raining of fire and water none other than Jesus Christ himself. He was surrounded by a great light. I said, ” Let me get the kids.” and woke up.
I know now from bible readings that one is suppose to go when called, but it has all come true. My mother died Thanksgiving 2004. Be prepared he is coming. I do not know the date or time. But it is not to fear. It is for rejoicing.
2. How do I know that God would even bother ? How do I believe? Shortly before that in a small Catholic church in Morgan City Louisiana at a Charismatic renewal I heard a man speak in tongues. Out of his mouth a soprano woman’s voice (aka the Holy Spirit) was singing word of praise to God that I would never think of. Later, the next week I fell during a second renewal meeting. I believe that I was slain in the spirit, but they said no it was that I was 6 months pregnant and they heard that my AC was out at home. So I began to wonder about if the things I believed/heard about the gifts of the spirit and saw were true. So I asked God in prayer if what I saw was true.
Later at night two days later, I was sitting in bed as my husband slept. I heard a soft voice say three times..”John 20:20. I knew enough to know that it was a bible verse. So I said OK and looked it up. It is the part where Jesus went to Mary and the apostles after he died. He said peace be with you and he showed them his hands and side. They were all blessed in the Holy Spirit. He said peace be with you again.
I got so excited that I didn’t realize what he was saying although I believed it meant the gifts of the spirit are alive today. Five years later in a New Orleans elevator a nun I told my witness to asked me, “Don’t you know what 20:20 means? She dipped her glasses down her nose. I blurted out,”Perfect vision!” He had answered me with no way to doubt.
3. As the years have passed other little miracles happened. My two mentally retarded cousins in North Louisiana could not go to school. I overheard her mother crying ( I was about 14 or 15 then.) I prayed and cried for them That day that they would have s school. About 8 years later I was a teacher in Morgan City on the other side of the state as a special education teacher. Guess who enrolled into my school, my class. God answered my prayer again. There are more, but not enough space. God Bless.
Amen! Thank you so much for sharing. God works in miraculous ways that cannot be defined by human eyes, but only understood through the spirit. I’ve been waiting for a comment of this nature to come on the pages of this blog. I have faith there will be many more, and I am truly grateful you stopped by. YES IT IS TRUE! Jesus’ time to reign this earth is coming very soon. We don’t know the time or hour, but it shall happen before this generation passes. I’ve been studying the economy which is why I’ve slightly neglected this blog site, but you along with many others have brought be back to the driving purpose of this blog … at least getting there! Thanks and God Bless!
Thanks for this , Curt.
A year and a half ago, my wife was 9 months pregnant and 2 days overdue. We went to the hospital for a “stress test.” After analyzing baby and momma heart rates for 45 minutes, the nurse was sending us home to wait and relax. At that moment. My wife had an abruption. It is the separation of the placenta from the uterus. The machine was still hooked up to my wife and the nurse was there. An alarm went off. Doctors flooded the room. They whisked her away for an emergency C-section. If we were on the road. Our baby would have died and my wife could have also. God had us at the hospital. Everybody is healthy.
Amen Brother! May God continue to be with you and your family. Thanks for sharing and Many Blessings to you!
Hi Curt,
Life is a miracle. Take a look at the mountains, oceans, animals who walk our planet and you are looking at a God creation and miracle. When we believe, miracles happen. My relationship with God has grown the more I have let go of my ego, let the energy flow and trust that miracles happen. I have faced death several times and took the miracle of survival to indicate my purpose. I seek to live my purpose every day -it is a journey, not a destination and I seek to make every second count!
Blessings to you,
Clare
Amen Clare, Thanks for sharing. Its the tougher times in life that TRULY mold us into who we REALLY are! I believe, and you’re right that its more about the journey as opposed to the destination. If you’re always seeking the destination, you will almost never get there. Its when we stop and focus on love & peace that we are given our eternal destiny. Plus, the song “the climb” made famous by Miley Cyrus is a great song that portrays that aspect. God Bless!
I was saved when I was 12 years old but got out of church in my teens and young adult-hood. I lived out in the muck and filth until my 40′s. My miracle happened when I realized that God could accept a wretched sinner like myself and give me a reason to shine for His glory. I’ve been back in church for the past 5 years now and even though I still face hardships, I am constantly over-filled with joy that comes from having a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Hey Clint, buddy, thanks for sharing your story aka testimony. These are great and so inspirational. I’ve never lived out on the streets, but I am dang blessed that I never did, because I’ve done drugs, abused alcohol and came very close to death on many occasions. Its amazing how there are TWO ENTIRELY DIFFERENT SIDES TO LIFE! … Or in all reality, One is Life and The Other is Death! make it a great day!
The fact that I am alive is a miracle within itself. I am a miracle simply because God breathed the breath of life upon me. I was born 4 pounds and 10 ounces. The doctors thought I wouldn’t make it because I was so under weight. Yet God didn’t see it that way. The Lord let me live on. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah! I’m thankful for life today and I don’t take it for granted. God didn’t have to let me live but the fact that He loved me enough to breathe the breath of life upon is more than a reason to be thankful.
Amen. and I’m grateful for your life too, Shawne. Thanks for your contribution.
You’re welcome.
