Amen Clare, Thanks for sharing. Its the tougher times in life that TRULY mold us into who we REALLY are! I believe, and you’re right that its more about the journey as opposed to the destination. If you’re always seeking the destination, you will almost never get there. Its when we stop and focus on love & peace that we are given our eternal destiny. Plus, the song “the climb” made famous by Miley Cyrus is a great song that portrays that aspect. God Bless!

Life is a miracle. Take a look at the mountains, oceans, animals who walk our planet and you are looking at a God creation and miracle. When we believe, miracles happen. My relationship with God has grown the more I have let go of my ego, let the energy flow and trust that miracles happen. I have faced death several times and took the miracle of survival to indicate my purpose. I seek to live my purpose every day -it is a journey, not a destination and I seek to make every second count!

Thanks Curt for that poem. I love it. I have read that many times. What I have learned in my personal development is that you can look at the past and the roads taken but to not focus on them,(unless they served you well) for they are in the past. From this point forward what path and what decision you will make that are important. Always decisions moving you toward your goals.

What’s up Curt! Great intro and love the list. It truly simplifies what some people take 2 or 3 pages to explain.

Passion is a must to sustain it long term otherwise it’s a job and we’ll burnout.

Purpose can be something you’re passionate about and scared to do at the same time because it asks you to stretch so you can do something beyond yourself.

My calling is to serve in lowering suicides here in the US and Japan and empower leaders to do it worldwide.

Questions like who am I to do this? Am I good enough? It’s a great test of your faith to put trust in God and serve.

It’s weird how I got into blogging to start an online presence which opened the door to learn marketing online. I’m no marketing expert but I had to learn it in order for it to be worth my time and energy. It’s still in the works and be out within the next 3 weeks.

One of the key distinctions I’ve learned is the difference between Personal Branding and Marketing.

Personal Branding – Positioning as an Expert, Credibility, Build Know, Like, and Trust Factor

Marketing – Finding a need in the marketplace and providing a solution to that need

Profitable Niche – An irrational desire or need within a specific group of people

When you blend the branding, marketing, and the niche you are a Triple Crown threat and dominate the market.

Go 3 for 3 – You’ll be profitable well for energy and time invested.
Go 2 for 3 – You’ll be average barely getting by.
Go 1 for 3 – You’ll struggle and lose money.

When I first got started I went 1 for 3. Right now my website is at 1.5 for 3 where it generates income. In 3 weeks, it will be closer to 3 for 3.

The one thing I believe many miss in our industry is the “value” part. Without providing true value to others we just become a bunch of “pitchmen” pushing a product.

Only when we learn to understand our customers and start leading with the solutions to their problems a shift starts to happen in our business.

Your energy in infectious. I am tempted to want to squeeze creativity in there somewhere. One could argue it falls under Knowledge, but I don’t think so. Sometimes you need to be still and allow the information you have collected to organize itself. To me, that is creativity which drives uniqueness.
